Scottsbluff boys open soccer season with win over Gering

The Scottsbluff boys soccer team opening the season Saturday taking on cross town rivals Gering. In the end Scottsbluff earning a 9-0 win over the Bulldogs.

GERING, Neb. (KNEP) - The Scottsbluff boys soccer team opening the season Saturday taking on cross town rivals Gering. In the end Scottsbluff earning a 9-0 win over the Bulldogs.

Scottsbluff opened the scoring with a Eduardo Sena goal five minutes into the contest.

While goalkeepers JT Painter and Juan Gonzalez Jr combined to stop the Gering offense for a shutout.

Both teams return to action this week with both teams taking on Omaha South. Gering hosting Omaha South March 25th and Scottsbluff March 26th.
