SIDNEY, Neb. – A Nebraska Panhandle community is one step closer to a full fiber-optic internet option.

ALLO Fiber-optic network is starting construction in Sidney Monday, April 4th.

ALLO’s Outside Plant and Splicing Supervisor Colin Murphy said the company is ready to begin construction.

"We offer television, internet and phone and communication industry to give others a premier choice," Murphy said.

ALLO has partnered with local contractors to build the fiber-optic network.

“We are putting conduit and cables in the ground now, we have to go around town to get all of our equipment up," Murphy said.

Residents and businesses will receive notice of necessary work in yards and easements through the mail. ALLO officials also said the construction teams may be knocking on doors to explain the process and answer any questions.

“We start construction today and we will probably be getting our first area live hopefully Summer or Fall”

ALLO originated in Nebraska and is now available in three different states.

“We will be updating as well through all media, internet, social media, and around town flyers, just go visit us on the webpage and you’ll see us around”

More information about construction is available on the ALLO website.
