Three Former Zephyrs Named To Inaugural Twin Cities/Westco Baseball Hall of Fame

For the first time in history the Twin Cities/Westco Legion Baseball program has a Hall of Fame.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - For the first time in history the Twin Cities/Westco Legion Baseball program has a Hall of Fame. And this past weekend the first three members were inducted.

Bo Bowman played for the Twin Cities program in the 2000′s. He is the Zephyrs all time leader in batting average and saves on the mound. Bowman continued his baseball career in college and then was a Colorado Rockies draft pick. He would play for several seasons in the Rockies organization.

Doug Mitchell played for the Twin Cities/Westco Program in the 1990′s. He was a standout player for the Zephyrs helping his teams have big seasons on the diamond for several years. He would continue his career on the college level playing and starring for Nebraska-Kearney.

Long-time Zephyrs head coach Mark Moran rounds out the list. Moran was head coach of the Zephyrs from 1991 to 2017. During that time he would earn 884 wins and 10 state tournament appearances. He would send 75 players on to the collegiate level for baseball as well as four players taking their games professionally.
