The South Dakota Highway Patrol has identified a Pine Ridge Reservation man as the person killed over the noon hour Friday in a one-vehicle accident in the Black Hills on Interstate 90.

The name of 65-year-old Coletius Rouillard of Oglala had been withheld pending notification of family. He died at the scene of the accident 5 miles west of Piedmont.

The Patrol says Rouillard was a passenger in a westbound SUV driven by 41-year-old Jolene Iron Boy of Spearfish that left the freeway to the north, crossed a service road, and eventually vaulted over a berm.

Both Iron Boy and a second passenger, 69-year-old Darlene Rouillard of Spearfish, suffered only minor injuries. All 3 individuals were wearing seatbelts. Coletius Rouillard was Darlene Rouillard’s brother.
