SIDNEY, Neb. -- Drivers are asked to exercise caution in the Panhandle for the next couple of hours, as hail and fog are wreaking havoc.

Hail-covered roads, and resulting fog due to the cold hail, are creating difficult driving conditions on Interstate 80 and surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service said the conditions will linger for the next one to two hours, with the National Weather Service noting that conditions could remain dangerous over the span of time.

Hail continues to impact much of the state, with the conditions expected to travel eastward throughout the evening.

NWS says winds will pick up after the hail dissipates.
