SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - This summer the PRCA is hosting a rodeo in Scotts Bluff County.

Scotts Bluff County donated $20,000 to the total prize money for the rodeo contestants.

Since this rodeo is at the tail end of Cheyenne Frontier Days, the goal is that it will attract more competitors.

But not just any competitors... some of the best competing cowboys in the world.

The rodeo is going to be a rough stock only rodeo, which means there will only be Bareback, Saddle Bronc, and Bull Riding.

Doug Champion says; “We looked and it is an hour, hour in a half, from Cheyenne to just jet over here and get a great opportunity to add to their world standings and their income and to get on quality stock is a no brainer for most contestants.”

This event is being held at the Scotts Bluff County fairgrounds on August 1st, 2022.
