Emergency officials respond to three incidents at Lake McConaughy Saturday
LAKE MCCONAUGHY - A party shooting fireworks out their vehicle's window is being blamed for a grass fire at Lake McConaughy Saturday.
Keystone-Lemoyne Fire and Rescue Chief Ralph Moul says the fire was along Highway 92. The size of the fire was unknown at the time of this story.
Fireworks are always banned in Nebraska State Parks. Ogallala, and all of Keith County, banned fireworks this year, because of hot and dry conditions.
The department also responded to a female breaking her ankle and a three-year-old that nearly drowned. Both of those incidents were between Sandy Beach and Arthur Bay.
Moul says to wear your life jackets.
