SIDNEY, Neb. -- Sidney will begin mosquito spraying all areas unless a residence is added to the "No Spray List."

If conditions are right and mosquito counts warrant spraying, The City of Sidney Parks Department will begin spraying for mosquitos on Sunday nights in July. The first Sunday night spraying will be July 17th.

If any individuals choose to be on the “No Spray List” they can call the City Offices at (308) 254-5300 and leave their name and address.

Public health safety for West Nile Virus dictates that the truck will only shut off immediately in front of the residence listed on the No Spray List.

For the most part, the sprayer truck travels on alternating streets making its way through town.

The entire process takes 3.5 hours, from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Spraying will continue into September if needed.
