Scottsbluff man charged for assaulting his pregnant girlfriend

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - 33-year-old Adric Blanco was accused of strangling and hitting his pregnant girlfriend, making her mouth bleed.

Court documents stated that during the time of the incident she was 37 weeks pregnant.

Blancos girlfriend told police that they got into an argument about Blanco taking her car.

This led to him striking her in the face, three or four times with an open hand, and began to strangle her.

The victims 12 year old daughter heard the altercation and called police.

There was also two other children in the home during this time.

Blanco was charged with 3 counts of Child Abuse, Strangulation, and Third Degree Domestic Assault on a Pregnant Woman.

His bond is set for $500,000.
