DALTON – The Leyton football team rushed for 263 yards and the Warriors improved to 2-0 this season with a 77-0 victory over Kimball on Friday night in Dalton. 

5’9”, 160-pound senior Dawson Juelfs led Leyton with 105 yards on the ground on eight carries. Freshman Alec Watchorn added 64 yards on eight carries.  

The Warrior defense forced 10 turnovers and held the Longhorns to just 55 yards of total offense. They also registered two safeties. 

Junior Derek Kauffman led Kimball with 15 rushing yards on six carries.  

Leyton will be at Morrill (0-2) next Friday. Kimball (0-2), playing their first football season in two years, travels to North Platte to play St. Pat’s (3-0).
