MITCHELL – The Mitchell Tigers scored on seven of ten possessions to improve to 4-0 on the season with a 44-20 win over the Sidney Red Raiders Friday night in Mitchell. Running behind a massive offensive line, the Tigers rolled up 366 yards of rushing. The three possessions that Mitchell didn’t score involved a missed 42-yard field goal attempt late in the first quarter and two possessions in which the Tigers took a knee, one to end the first half and the other at the end of the game.

Junior quarterback Cael Peters tallied 147 yards on 21 carries and senior running back Hayden Umble rushed 16 times for 141 yards and four touchdowns to pace the Mitchell attack.

Sidney rushed for just 189 yard in the game, 78 of which came in the fourth quarter when backup quarterback Reid Fiscus broke free, on his only carry of the night with 1:20 to go in the game. Isak Doty rushed eight times for 61 yards and a touchdown while Luke Holley carried the ball 13 times for just 49 yards.
