CHADRON, Neb. – A Sidney man facing felony drug charges is due in court in Chadron Wednesday.

33-year-old Dennis Latka was arrested last month after he was found unconscious behind the wheel of a pickup near Box Butte State Recreation Area.

During a welfare check, a Nebraska State Patrol trooper reportedly recovered cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, empty baggies, two scales and a butane torch.

According to an arrest affidavit, Latka was given a breath test due to suspected impairment, at which point he blew a 0.00 BAC.

After being taken to the Chadron Hospital for a medical clearance, he was then taken to the Dawes County Jail, where he was booked.

Latka is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in Dawes County Court.
