HAY SPRINGS - The Talan and Dakota Storer connection accounted for four passing touchdowns, and Lance Vasa had two on the ground, as Arthur County ended Hay Springs' season in the quarterfinals of the Class D6 football quarterfinals Friday night, 48-13.

Hay Springs answered the Wolves first touchdown drive with a 42-yard Gage Mintken touchdown run, but that was the only offense that the Hawks would put together.

Trailing 30-6, Hay Springs Dylan Raymer returned an ensuing kickoff after an Arthur County touchdown 75-yards to make it 30-13, but those would be the last points the Hawks would score.

Hay Springs will end the season at 6-4, while Arthur County advances to the semifinals. They'll host Pawnee City next Friday.

Meanwhile, Scottsbluff’s Braeden Stull ran for five touchdowns and 217 yards, and the Bearcats shutout Omaha Skutt in the Class B quarterfinals, 33-0, in Scottsbluff on Friday. The Bearcats travel to Omaha Gross next Friday for the semifinals.
