Bridgeport splits doubleheader with North Platte St. Pat's

Senior Ruthie Loomis-Goltl had a game high 24 points and the Bridgeport girls basketball team earned their second consecutive win to start the season with a 64-18 victory over SPVA Conference rival North Platte St. Pat's on Saturday afternoon.

NORTH PLATTE - Senior Ruthie Loomis-Goltl had a game high 24 points and the Bridgeport girls basketball team earned their second consecutive win to start the season with a 64-18 victory over SPVA Conference rival North Platte St. Pat's on Saturday afternoon. 

Olivia Loomis-Goltl added 18 points for the Bulldogs. Bridgeport hosts Hemingford in their home opener on Friday in a girl-boy doubleheader.

The Irish got six points each from Cara Roberg, Reese Fleck and Tanja Heirigs. St. Pat's will play Kearney Catholic at home on Tuesday in a girl-boy doubleheader.

Meanwhile, Kolby Lussetto led the Bridgeport boys basketball team (1-1) with 11 points in a losing effort against North Platte St. Pat's Saturday afternoon in North Platte, 64-31. 

The Irish were led by junior Brecken Erickson with 17 points. Senior Andrew Brosius added 15 points and senior Will Moats had 14 points.
