Power outages reported in the Panhandle

SIDNEY, Neb. -- Morning snowfall and freezing drizzle in the panhandle Monday caused hundreds of power outages. 

High West Energy is reporting that over 1,100 people are without power in the southwest panhandle. 

The bulk of the outage is affecting residents in Kimball and Cheyenne County, which had over 1,000 customers in the dark as of midday Monday. 

Wheat Belt Public Power District was reported no outages as of early Monday afternoon.

There have been no other reports of widespread outages in Nebraska, but this storm system has knocked out power to tens of thousands around the country, including 15,000 in Colorado - 11 in Yuma County.

38 power outages were reported in Laramie in County in Wyoming.
