SIDNEY - A Kimball man came within 32 cents of the total amount of money inside a cowboy hat and won the grand prize on Nexgen Outfitters Blake Bucks.

Bill Hinton says he put down his birthday - May 26, 1965 - as a guess of how much money was in the clear cowboy hat inside a clear case, surrounded by a red velvet rope, at Nexgen Outfitters in Sidney on Saturday afternoon.

His guess of $526.65 just missed the total of $526.97 and won him all of the money and a pair of premium tickets (with access to a private bar and restaurant) to see Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce, and Jackson Dean at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln on Feb. 16.

"That's awesome!" Hinton said. "Ready to go!"

He says he plans to take his wife, Wesla, with him to the concert if she can get off work.

987 The Big Boy and Cheyenne County Country, traveled to Nexgen in Sidney, Hootenannies in Sterling, Jimmy L's in Sidney with the Cheyenne County Chamber, and Kimball Ace Hardware throughout January taking guesses on how much money was inside the cowboy hat. The giveaway began in early January and finished on Saturday.

Details of the radio stations next concert giveaway are expected to be released on Feb. 10.
