City of Kimball declares snow emergency

Kimball City officials have declared a Snow Emergency in preparation for snowfall this week.

KIMBALL -- Kimball City officials have declared a Snow Emergency in preparation for snowfall this week.

City of Kimball Street Superintendent Jim Shoup issued a press release this morning stating that due to inclement weather today through Friday, February 24.

"We are asking citizens to please not leave parked vehicles on the designated Emergency Snow routes effective immediately through Friday, February 24, evening so the street department can clean those streets on our Emergency Snow Routes," Shoup said in the press release.

The designated Emergency Snow Routes are: 1) Chestnut Street from 1st Street to 4th Street; and 2) 2nd Street from Howard Street to Oak Street. Signs are posted on those routes.
