Northeast Colorado firefighters respond to barn fire

Firefighters responded to a report of a barn engulfed in flames southeast of Sterling Saturday morning.

STERLING -- Firefighters responded to a report of a barn engulfed in flames southeast of Sterling Saturday morning.

Firefighters received the call a little before 7 a.m. February 25 of the fire at Logan County Roads 59 and 6, according to the Sterling Fire Department.

Units from Sterling, Fleming, Merino and Otis fire departments responded, as well as the Logan County Sheriff's Department. 

First units to arrive on the scene found the fire had already burned through the barn, causing it to collapse.

Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
