Gering City Council awards bid for Pickleball courts

The Gering City Council has awarded a bid for the Oregon Trail Park Pickleball project.

GERING, Neb. (KNEP) - The Gering City Council has awarded a bid for the Oregon Trail Park Pickleball project.

On Monday, the council discussed and awarded one of three bids for the upcoming Oregon Trail Park Pickleball Court project to Mark Chrisman Trucking. The bid will cost $264,275.30.

“They will come in and do all of the grading all of the prep for the post tension concrete then they will do all the concrete for the walkways around the post tension concrete and then they will come in and do the parking area.” City Engineer Annie Folck mentioned.

Mark Chrisman Trucking has not previously worked with the city but was the company that completed the Gering Public Schools Tennis Court upgrade project.
