Winter weather expected to hit parts of northern Nebraska once again

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- More winter weather could be coming to northern Nebraska.
The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a winter weather advisory for Sheridan, Cherry, Keya Paha, Boyd, Brown, Rock and Holt Counties.
The advisory goes into effect at 8 p.m. CT/7 p.m. MT Wednesday evening, and it will remain in effect until Thursday at 10 a.m. CT/9 a.m. MT.
Forecasts call for mixed precipitation in the affected areas, with a total snow accumulation of up to three inches and a light glaze of ice. Locally higher snowfall amounts may develop in some areas.
NWS officials advise caution on roadways, particularly during morning commutes, with experts noting that slippery road conditions will be likely.
Further south, Dundy County was in a dense fog warning early Wednesday.
The rest of the state, while not under any advisories or warnings, has the potential for drizzle and fog over the next two days.
