Commissioners approve Mitchell, DeNovellis to tourism coalition

SIDNEY -- The Cheyenne County Commissioners Monday approved Kendra Mitchell and Brooke DeNovellis to the Western Nebraska Tourism Coalition. Mitchell was confirmed as public voter for Cheyenne County and DeNovellis as proxy voter for Cheyenne County.

Change of bylaws needed designated signature authority

SIDNEY -- The Cheyenne County Commissioners Monday approved Kendra Mitchell and Brooke DeNovellis to the Western Nebraska Tourism Coalition. 

Mitchell was confirmed as public voter for Cheyenne County and DeNovellis as proxy voter for Cheyenne County. 

"Each county has a public and private voter," Mitchell said.

The goal of the Western Nebraska Tourism Coalition (WNTC) is to attract more tourists, lengthen their stay and increase visitor spending, according to the organization's website. WNTC offers the opportunity for members to share marketing ideas through bimonthly meetings in communities throughout the region.

Members of WNTC have the opportunity to share marketing ideas and develop innovative approaches to promote Western Nebraska, their attractions and businesses by attending bimonthly meetings, held in various communities throughout the region.

Mitchell said 10 counties meet five times each year.
