Fireworks season underway

The Fourth of July celebration is already underway. Fireworks could legally be used in the city of Sidney as of 8 a.m. Sunday. Fireworks are permitted 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (not including July 4), and ending 1 a.m. July 5.

SIDNEY -- The Fourth of July celebration is already underway.

City of Sidney staff have already been receiving calls with questions on when fireworks are permitted in Sidney. Presently, there are five fireworks vendors in Sidney.

Fireworks can legally be used in the city of Sidney as of 8 a.m. Sunday. Fireworks are permitted 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (not including July 4), and ending 1 a.m. July 5.
