Two North Platte men arrested following child exploitation investigation

The Nebraska State Patrol said they arrested two North Platte men after a child exploitation investigation on Tuesday.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- The Nebraska State Patrol said they arrested two North Platte men after a child exploitation investigation on Tuesday.

Investigators with the NSP Tech Crimes Unit, with help from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the North Platte Police Department made the arrests. 

The NSP said they performed a search warrant at a residence in the 2000 block of West Fifth St. in North Platte. 

Authorities said the search of the residence involved a child exploitation investigation. 

54-year-old Christopher L. Rader-Schmidt and 19-year-old Brandon K. Rader-Schmidt were arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography. 

Both men were lodged in Lincoln County Jail. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
