State College Board of Trustees approve tuition increase

At its June 15 meeting in Lincoln, the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees approved a 3.2 percent tuition increase for the 2023-24 school year.

CHADRON – At its June 15 meeting in Lincoln, the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees approved a 3.2 percent tuition increase for the 2023-24 school year.

The new undergraduate rate for students attending Peru, Wayne, and Chadron will be $192 per credit hour or about $2,880 for 15 credit hour semester.

The rate for in-state graduate students will be $240 per credit hour and the out-of-state graduate rate will be $480 per credit.

Special graduate rates for CSC’s Master in Education Curriculum and Instruction and Master of Arts in Education (History/Science/Math) will be $370 per credit hour.

Also at the meeting, the employee salary recommendations were set, the operating budget and auxiliary operation budgets for fiscal year 2024 were approved, and several board policies were revised.

The next scheduled meeting of the Board will be July 13-14 in Lincoln.
