Authorities arrest two Scottsbluff men in separate cases

SCOTTSBLUFF - Bond was set at $25,000 for a Scottsbluff man who was booked into Scotts Bluff County Jail on drug charges.

Jared Rowlee, 19, is accused of having brass knuckles, marijuana, other drug paraphernalia and an open alcohol container in his possession. 

The items were discovered when Nebraska State Patrol troopers pulled Rowlee over for entering the Lake Minatare State Recreation Area without a park entry permit displayed on his vehicle.

Rowlee was also driving under a suspended license. 

In a separate case, authorities arrested a man who fled officers in Scottsbluff.

Jeremie Steen, 30, of Scotts Bluff County, is accused of fleeing police when authorities attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of Broadway and Railway. Steen got out of the vehicle in the Precision parking lot and was detained. 

The unmanned vehicle rolled into a boat. 

A rubber pipe with residue on it was discovered during a search of Steen. He was arrested for Willful Reckless Driving, Flight to Avoid, No Operators License, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

His bond was set for $104,000.
