Independence Day celebrations include fireworks, pool parties

SIDNEY - City celebrations are set to light up the night sky Monday and Tuesday across the Nebraska Panhandle region.

The City of Sidney fireworks show at Deer Run Park is scheduled for 9:15 p.m. Monday night. Other shows on Monday include Chappell at 9 p.m. at the Pool Park and Ogallala near the ballfields at dusk. 

Lodgepole is scheduled to have a fireworks show at 9 p.m. Tuesday. The City of Sterling postponed their fireworks show Monday due to weather concerns. The was moved to Sunday, July 30.

The City of Kimball is hosting a 4th of July Celebration at the city park and pool on Tuesday.

The annual Frank Welch Masonic Lodge Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held on the 4th of July at Hillside Golf Course in Sidney, beginning at 10 a.m.
