Firefighters respond to hay fire
Firefighters responded to a hay fire, unrelated to fireworks, the afternoon of July 4.

SIDNEY -- Firefighters spent the afternoon of the 4th of July extinguishing a hay stack fire.
The fire was not firework related, the fire department reported.
Neighbors assisted firefighters with equipment.
One firefighter had a visitor waiting at the drives door when returning. No firefighters or snakes were injured.
