Weather service places Nebraska Panhandle region in severe thunderstorm watch
The NWS says large hail and strong winds will be the primary threats in severe storms.
SIDNEY - An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm, or two, could be possible Thursday in the Nebraska Panhandle, northeast Colorado and southeast Wyoming, according to the National Weather Service office in Cheyenne.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the entire region until 9 p.m. Thursday. The watch includes the cities of Sidney, Kimball, Bridgeport, Chappell, Scottsbluff, Sterling, Julesburg, Pine Bluffs and Torrington.
