ALLIANCE -- Downtown Alliance was in a state of change Tuesday, preparing for the start of Heritage Days. 

The annual event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 19, through Saturday, July 22. Staff from Frazier Shows Carnival were busy July 18 setting up the 

Events officially start at 6 p.m. Wednesday with the Grand Marshal, courtesy of FNBO, at 6 p.m. at the Courthouse sidewalk.

Food vendors will be in the 300 block of Box Butte 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.  The Frasier Shows Carnival will also be open Wednesday.

On Thursday, July 20, food vendors will open their windows at 11 a.m. The Cattle Capital Rodeo Youth Play Day will be at 6:30 p.m.

Friday will be busy with Prairie Dog Open Disc Golf at Laing Lake, Kids Games at the Alliance High School Practice Field, and food vendors will be back starting at 11 a.m.

Bands on the Bricks will be entertaining crowds from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday.

The Band Road Run 5K/10K and two mile walk starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with registration at 6:45 a.m. The Heritage Days Parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. and the Dave Kimmel Memorial Disc Golf Tournament is at 10 a.m. A BBQ lunch will be available at the Masonic Lodge at 1 p.m. after the parade. There  will also be free swimming Saturday, Bands on the Bricks in the evening and the carnival throughout the day.
