Logan County Fair wraps up with demolition derby
Rides, food and music wrapped up the weekend for the Logan County Fair. The week of judging animals, indulging in Fair Week decadence and entertainment came to end end with the traditional demolition derby.
By News Channel NebraskaSTERLING, Colo. -- Logan County Colorado's 2023 county fair Sunday evening with the last rides of the midway and the crashes of competing in the demolition derby.
The weekend started with the Fair parade 9 a.m. Saturday in downtown Sterling with numerous floats and exhibits from local agencies to youth programs and businesses. Jim and Becky Santomaso served as Grand Marshalls of the Fair Parade.
Following the parade, the annual free Korrey family watermelon feed took place, and the livestock auction among many other children's activities.
Saturday night was highlighted with the Night Show featuring Casey Donahew and Josh Turner. Turner's Aug. 5 appearance is his second show in Logan County. Previously, he appeared with Luke Bryan.
