The Kimball Banner County Fair kicked off last week with more and more events happening as we move toward the weekend.
Animal check-ins went smoothly according to fair officials and the static exhibits have been very popular.
The static exhibits have been set up since Monday and were judged yesterday. Everything from clothing and jewelry to woodcrafts and paintings are on display. Even tablescapes were judged and are on display in the 4-H building with the other projects all week long.
The dog show wrapped up on Monday evening and the PRCA rodeo dodged poor weather in the area to put on show in the arena last night. The horse show took place Wednesday with the juniors in the morning.
Campers and horse trailers surround the fairgrounds property as people from as far as Michigan have come to see the fair. They are well fed while they are here, with a Kimball Trap team concession stand and a number of out of town food trailers setting up on the midway.
You can test drive a car from Wolf Automotive or the Panhandle Auto Group while you are there, or look at the large John Deere tractors that 21st Century Equipment have on display.
Bounce houses will take there place on the midway tomorrow and will be free to the public through Saturday.
The fair will wrap up with the livestock sale and rubber check race on Saturday.
