Sidney man dies in single vehicle accident

A 34-year-old Sidney man died in a single vehicle accident north of Sidney Sunday.

SIDNEY -- A Sidney man died in a single vehicle accident north of Sidney August 13.

A 2004 Mercury Marquis driven by Mark Reeves was northbound on Cheyenne County Road 111 when it entered the west side ditch about 3 1/2 miles north of Sidney. Reeves over corrected to the east, the car went off the east side of the road and into a culvert causing the car to be partially airborne. The car rolled, ejecting Reeves before coming to rest on its wheels facing west in the east field.

First responders were called to the scene at about 2:33 p.m.

According to the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office, Reeves, 34, was not using a seat restraint. The passenger in the car was using seat restraint and sustained minor injuries.
