Authorities investigating report of stolen air compressor, tools

Sidney Police are investigating two thefts of tools this week. The reports were made early August 23.

SIDNEY -- Police received two reports of theft in downtown Sidney Wednesday.

Sidney Police Lt. Keith Andrew said today they received a report of an air compressor stolen from the 1800 block of Linden Street, and the theft of miscellaneous tools from the 1100 block of 
Toledo.

The air compressor, described as about 200 lbs and stolen from the back of a pickup truck, is believed to have been taken between late Tuesday night and early Wednesday.

Lt. Andrew encourages residents to remove valuables from vehicles and lock doors.

Anyone with information on this thefts or other incidents are encouraged to call the Sidney Police Department at 1-308-254-5515. A $500 reward is being offered for the air compressor.
