ALLIANCE, Neb. (KNEP) - The Alliance Police Chief has submitted a letter of resignation.

The City of Alliance will be starting a search for a new police chief after Philip Lukens submitted a letter of resignation that will take effect on Sept. 15.

The City has appointed Lt. Kirk Felker as interim chief.
