SIDNEY - The Sidney Lady Raiders dominated Mitchell in their home opener at the Cabela’s Athletic Facility Tuesday night, sweeping the Tigers 3-0 in sets.

Chloe Ahrens led the way in the first set with 5 kills, while Karsyn Leeling contributed 4 kills as Sidney secured a 25-19 victory to take a 1-0 lead.

The second set was even more one-sided, with Sidney routing Mitchell 25-7. Chloe Ahrens continued to shine with 5 kills, while the Tigers struggled to record any kills.

Although Sidney faced some serving errors in the third set, they managed to overcome them and clinch the set 25-20. Karsyn Leeling stepped up with 5 kills, while Chloe Ahrens added 4 more to her tally.

Ahrens paced the Lady Raiders on the night with 14 kills, Leeling contributed 11 in the win.

With this win, Sidney improved to a 3-2 record, while Mitchell fell to 1-4. Sidney is set to compete in the Cozad Invitational Tournament in Cozad on Saturday, taking on the host Haymakers in their first match.
