His coaching career in Cheyenne County began in 1975 when he coached Dalton prior to the merger with Gurley.

Dormann was the All-Regional Eight-Man Coach of the Year, coached in two all-star games and had 18 of his players compete in all-start games. He was inducted into the Nebraska High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame last June.

Leyton improves to 1-2 and will play at Anselmo-Merna (1-1) on Friday, Sept. 15th. Morrill drops to 0-3 and hosts Bayard (1-2) next week.
