Carwin announced as new Finance Director

 Kizzire accepts position in Scottsbluff 

 SIDNEY – Kegan Carwin has been named as the new finance director for the City of Sidney. 

City Manager David Scott introduced Carwin to the city council in the October 10 council meeting.  

Scott said later in a statement the city posted the position and interviewed several talented applicants and found Kegan Carwin to have the most suited skill set to take on the role.  

“We wish Lane Kizzire all the best and look forward to working with Kegan,” Scott said. 

Finance Director Lane Kizzire has taken a similar position with the City of Scottsbluff. 

“This has been a six-month process, probably, from start to finish, my decision-making, to get a little closer to home,” Kizzire said in an earlier interview. 

Kizzire said his goal was to move closer to his family and hometown of Bayard.  

“My grandpa and dad still have a farm in Bayard that they do. I’m going to be moving back. I’m actually going to be living in Bayard when we go back. It puts me really close to home,” Kizzire said. 

Scottsbluff City Manager Kevin Spencer said Kizzire will take on his new duties starting November 13.
