Homecoming celebration starts Monday, continues with Peetz Sake Days

PEETZ, Colo. -- The Peetz Bulldogs and its community will be busy with a wide variety of school spirit starting Monday, leading up to the homecoming games and For Peetz Sake Day October 21.
The week starts with “Everything but a backpack” theme at the school Monday, October 16. Tuesday’s theme is “Frat Day.” Wear your craziest college “House” apparel.
Wednesday is “PJ Day, followed by “The Show” on Thursday. Thursday is also a 1p.m. release for Parent-Teacher conferences.
Community activities get busy Thursday as well with a Hog roast meal provided by the Lions Club, Legion Auxiliary, Methodist church, Sacred Heart Altar Society, Town of Peetz and Peetz Telephone Company. The Hog Roast dinner will be served at the Community Center 4 to 7 pm (or until food runs out).
A craft fair and bake sale will be held 4 to 7 pm at the Peetz Community Center; contact Michele Gentry at 970-301-5158. The Community Pep Rally is scheduled for 7 p.m. The band will play and the community is encouraged to come and support the student-athletes.
Friday is Spirit Day. Come to school in team colors. Games are scheduled for Friday as well. Volleyball against Weldon Valley starts at 4:30 p.m. with the junior varsity. The football game against Weldon Valley is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Homecoming Royalty Crowned and Recognition of Peetz Sake 2022 Parade Marshals at Halftime. The parade marshals are Kelly Barrett and Penny Carver. Mud County will perform at the Hot Spot 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Saturday turns to a community celebration as the focus changes to For Peetz Sake Day. The day starts with a Pancake Breakfast at the Fair Hall from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. 7-9:00 a.m. The bake sale and craft sale starts at 7 a.m. and is scheduled to noon in the Community. Center. The parade line-up starts at 9:15 a.m. at the west side of the school.
The parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday. Please fill out the form online, PARADE FORM, to place entry or contact Immediately following parade are games and activities at the practice field; Money Scramble and Tractor pedal pull sponsored by Lions Club, Dunk tank and other games as well, Inflatables for elementary-age children in New Bus Barn. Games are for children in preschool through 12 years old.
10:30-? Root beer floats by Rocky Mountain Farmers Union diagonal from the bus barn starting at about 10:30 a.m. A Hamburger Fry will be available in the school cafeteria with seating in the small gym from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
