The energy in the gym was electric from tip off to the final whistle, great sportsmanship shown all around as the Kimball Longhorns improve to 4-1 on the season. The Longhorns (4-1) will now prepare for their next game against Hershey in Hershey, NE. The Panthers go into the non district game with a 1-3 record. In their last game Hershey lost to St Pat’s 62-35 so it should be a good test for the longhorns.
The lady Longhorns suffered a tough loss versus the Morrill Lions 31-61 at home. However the energy and hustle that was put on display was next to none from the longhorns. Head coach Jacklyn Burks has always emphasized hustle and grit and that’s exactly what she got from her girls. The Kimball Lady Longhorns drop to 1-4 on the season and look forward to getting back into the win column on Friday night in Hershey. Senior leadership from Julia Winstrom and Jasmine Gawith was there throughout the entire night and the Lady Longhorns will need that going forward as they look to turn things around this Season.
