Authorities: a trickle of water at the faucet can prevent a freeze

KIMBALL --  Due to the freezing temperatures expected toward the end of this week and into the weekend, the City of Kimball would like to remind you to leave a small stream of cold water running in your home if you are not going to be home for an extended time, when no water is being used and overnight.

A small stream about the size of a pencil lead should be enough to prevent water freeze-up which can break pipes and water meters.

Please run your water when the temperature is 10 degrees or colder. Customers are asked to contact the city office at 308-235-3639 with any questions or concerns.
