SIDNEY -- The Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet Saturday, January 20, at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds.

The annual event is an opportunity to recognize community and business leaders throughout the year.

This year's event was emcee'd by Don Davis of PROJEKT 3D. Dinner was provided by Outlaws Cafe and Catering, drinks by Boss City Brewing Company, entertainment by Deuling Pianos, the National Anthem sung by Nathan Morgan and the invocation was offered by Pastor Cory Jenkins.

The New Business Award is presented to a new business that has a positive impact on the business community.
 
The Outstanding Customer Service award honors a business or individual that goes beyond customer expectations, showing respect and interacting with customers outside of the parameters of business transactions.
 
The Citizen of the Year award honors a person who has made an impact throughout the years and the area. This person is chosen for their definable, exceptional deeds that have made the community a better place to live.
 
The Business Revitalization Award recognizes a business that has made considerable improvements or renovations to their business in the year.
 
The Community Impact Award is given to an organization, entity or developer that was instrumental in assisting business and industry development in the community.
 
The E.K. Yanny Award is in memory of Lodgepole banker E.K. Yanny who was very active in economic development. It was his influence, along with John Egging, to give the Chamber a "county-wide" perspective.
 
The Heroes Among Us Award is for those who make a difference often unnoticed in the Cheyenne County communities.
