OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A woman is behind bars in Pottawattamie County after Omaha Police say she led them on a pursuit Monday morning that went into western Iowa.

OPD tells our partners at 6 News the pursuit began near 33rd and Leavenworth streets around 4 a.m. Officers observed someone shooting from a vehicle. They attempted a traffic stop, but the driver kept going.

The pursuit continued across the river into Council Bluffs, where police there took over. The vehicle was eventually stopped near Interstate 80 mile marker 36, near Shelby, Iowa.

The driver, Cachale Martin, 30, was arrested at the scene. Law enforcement says charges are pending, and OPD plans to extradite Martin to Nebraska.

OPD says they have not received any reports of any injuries from the shots Martin allegedly fired.
