AINSWORTH – The Sidney boys wrestling team finished in the middle of the pack Saturday at the Ainsworth Invitational tournament at Ainsworth High School. The Red Raiders crowned a pair of champions, Zech Roggasch at 165 and Landon Hanes at 285. Patrick McCartney also reached the championship match at 190 lbs. but finished in second place. Matthew Cabbage was fourth at 215.

On Friday, Sidney stopped in Valentine for dual on the way to Ainsworth. The always tough Badgers came out on top 60 to 21.

The Bridgeport and Sidney girls wrestling teams competed on Friday at the Mitchell Invitational. Bridgeport finished in third place in the team standings while Sidney came in fifth. The Bulldogs finished with two champions, a pair of third place medalists, and a fourth-place finish. Sidney ended the day with two wrestlers atop the podium and one second place finish.
