SIDNEY – The Sidney Red Raider girls and boys wrestling teams took advantage of unseasonably warm temperatures Tuesday afternoon to move practice outdoors. Head coach Cody Hofrock rolled the mats out on the lawn south of the high school parking lot, allowing his teams to bask in 60-degree plus temperatures while preparing for this weekend’s meets.

The Sidney girls wrestling team is headed to Girls 4b Sub-District on Saturday at Perkins County High School. 21 teams will be competing in Grant when the wrestling gets underway at 11:00 a.m. The top four placers in each weight class will move on to the A4 District on Tuesday February 9th at Broken Bow High School.

The Red Raider boys wrestling team is headed to Yoder, Wyoming to Southeast High School for the Southeast Dual Tournament. Teams scheduled to compete are: Alliance, Banner County, Bridgeport, Burns/Pine Bluffs WY, Chadron, Crawford, Glenrock WY, H.E.M. WY (Hanna/Elk Mountain/Medicine Bow), Hay Springs, Lingle-Ft. Laramie/Southeast, Mitchell, Niobrara County WY, North Park CO, Sidney, Tri County, and Wheatland WY. Wrestling is set to begin at 9:00 a.m.
