Kimball County voters may see several open seats

KIMBALL COUNTY -- Kimball County voters will decide from the U.S. President to school board members.
Locally, the ballot will include District 2, 3 and at-large for the Western Community College Board of Governors. Voters will also consider a board member for Sub-District 1, South Platte Natural Resources District and Kimball County Commissioner.
Kimball voters will also consider two Kimball City Council members and two board members for the Kimball Airport Authority.
Kimball Public School District No. 1 voters will have three seats to vote on, and will voters in the Potter-Dix School District No. 9.
One four-year seat will be considered for the Educational Service Unit No. 13 board. The Villages of Bushnell and Dix will each non-partisan four-year positions for voters to consider.
As of January 31, David R. Hottell and Carl Stander, both registered as Republican, filed January 5 for the office of Kimball County commissioner. On January 29, Republican Matt Bright filed for the office of county commissioner, and Sarah Weisbrook, also a Republican, filed on January 30.
Dave Parshall filed for Dix Village board member on January 11.
The filing deadline for incumbents is February 15, and March 1 for non-incumbents. For ESU 13 board member District 12, Village of Bushnell and village of Dix, filing date for incumbents is July 15 and August 1 for non-incumbents.
