Incumbents must file by 5 p.m. February 15, non-incumbents have until 5 p.m. March 1

SIDNEY -- The candidate filing deadline for incumbents is 5 p.m. February 15. An incumbent is anyone serving in an elective office. Even if they are filing for an office other than the one in which they are presently serving, they are required to file by 5 p.m. February 15. 

The candidate filing deadline for non-incumbents is March 1, 2024 at 5 p.m. 

A person must be a registered voter in the district or community he or she seeks to represent to be qualify for candidacy.
