Medical clinic reopens in Chappell

The Valley Medical Clinic in Chappell officially opened today with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Chappell Chamber of Commerce.

CHAPPELL -- Medical services have returned to the Chappell community.

A ribbon cutting was held this afternoon in Chappell celebrating Sedgwick County Health Services opening the medical clinic.  Shaunna Mashek, Director Chappell Community Development, said the community has been anxiously waiting the return of medical services.

"We have been waiting for quite a few months for this day. We're super excited. We're very grateful that Sedgwick County Health Center has taken on the clinic here in Chappell. We have an amazing staff and crew and have hired on a lot of awesome people as well," Mashek said.

Aidan Hettler, CEO of Sedgwick County Health Center in Julesburg, was in attendance for the ribbon cutting. 

"We're super excited to launch the Valley Medical Clinic of Chappell today, part of our Sedgwick County Health Center, a health system based out of Julesburg. We are going to be providing primary care at this location and also an onslaught of labs that can be done as well we'll be offering Wellness Wednesdays on Wednesdays. We'll have one of our lab techs here dedicated to do those draws and everything," he said.

The grand opening and ribbon cutting included a tour of the facility and an opportunity to meet the staff.

Hettler said Sedgwick County Health Services is grateful to be part of the Chappell community.

"We're really happy to be part of this community," he said.

The Valley Medical Clinic in Chappell will be open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The clinic is located at 758 Second St., Chappell. Appointments can be made by calling Michele at 308-205-0706.
