SIDNEY - The 138th Annual Cheyenne County Fair and Rodeo in Sidney will feature two concerts this summer.

The Cheyenne County Fair Board announced Tuesday American Idol Season 19 winner Chayce Beckham and Grammy-nominated multi-platinum singer and songwriter David Nail will headline the new fair format July 20-27.

Thomas Mac will open for Beckham on Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. Mac moved to Nashville after having a song go viral on social media, which grew his followers to 6.4 million people on social media and 233,000 listens on streaming services. He was offered his first record deal at 20-years-old and has performed at the Grand Ole Opry.

Beckham rose to stardom in three years since winning American Idol in 2021. His chart-topping song "23" is a semi-autobiographical account of his struggles with alcohol and the lows it takes on a person.

Nail will take the stage on Friday, July 26 with special guest Dylan Wheeler. Nail released a new EP titled "Best of Me" in 2023 after being absent from the music charts while wrestling mental illness. He pulls no punches in evoking his demons on his new, most organic work. The new EP follows his hit "Red Light," which reached number seven on the country charts in 2009, his chart-topping song "Let it Rain" in 2011 and "Whatever She's Got" in 2013. Two of Nail's albums reached number three on the U.S. Country Albums Chart.

Wheeler became a full-time rock and alternative artist in 2019 when he quit his job working in the oil and gas industry. In a few short years, Wheeler went from 10,000 views of acoustic videos on social media to millions of streams across all platforms.

The 2024 fair will also include an "adrenaline alley," 4-H events, PRCA rodeo on July 23, a rubber check race on July 24 and demolition derby on July 27. Tickets are on sale now at cheyennecountyfair.com. Concert tickets are just $25.
