NORTHEAST COLORADO -- Two juveniles were arrested and charges are pending against others after a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle was stolen from Logan County, Colo.

On February 16, 2024, Logan County Sheriff's officers apprehended two male juveniles wanted for the theft of a mint condition white 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle, and two firearms.

The juveniles were believed to be armed and dangerous. The two juveniles were contacted after a short pursuit that ended at 11460 Logan County Road 71.

At the time of their arrest, the juveniles said they did not have possession of the car, and did not know where it was. As the investigation continued, LCSO investigators and investigators with the 13th Judicial District Attorney's Office, learned the vehicle was still in northeast Colorado.

On May 14, more information was gathered that the vehicle was most likely in the Wiggins area. LCSO officers, District Attorney investigators and Morgan County Sheriff's Office investigators interviewed several people regarding the location of the Chevelle.

On May 15, the Morgan County Sheriff's Office received a report of an abandoned vehicle on Morgan County Road 144 and County Road 5. The vehicle was confirmed to be the stolen 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle. The car was recovered and the owners notified.

Charges are pending against others involved in the incident. According to the press release, the Chevelle is appraised at $190,000.
