KIMBALL -- Three felony defendants appeared before Kimball County Judge Randin Roland via Zoom on June 25.

Jordan Crews, 28, of Kansas is back in County Court facing Class 4 Felony escape of custody. His bond is set at $50,000, and his next court date in county court is July 10.

Crews has a pending case in Kimball District Court; he was released a few weeks ago with the restriction of attending a treatment program in Omaha.

District Judge Derek Weimer told Crews in his court appearance a few weeks ago that when he either completes the program or leaves early, he is to report to the Kimball Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours.

Sheriff David Hottell said his office got a call from the treatment center saying that Crews was kicked out on Tuesday, June 18. The Sheriff’s Office got in contact with Crews to set up a pickup spot, but he did not show up.

Hottell was able to get in contact with Crews again Saturday, June 22 which is when they arrested him.

Patrick Nesvadba, 51, of Sidney had his first court appearance from the Kimball County Jail via Zoom June 25.

Over the weekend, Nesvadba was arrested and charged with possession of a deadly weapon by a felon and reckless driving. His bond is set at $25,000. His next court date is July 10.

Michel McGhghy, 28, of Kimball is facing Class 3A Felony terroristic threats. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing, so his case is transferred to District Court where his next court date is July 12.

McGhghy’s attorney Stacy Bach requested that her client be released on an OR bond, or own recognizance bond, on the grounds that he needs closer care for his mental health, and he is not receiving that in jail.

Judge Roland granted the OR bond, setting his bond at $1.
